AOR 542‑5‑81 to 82

The party spent two days traveling north through the Wild West, searching for signs of bandits or Dryn. Although they found no clear tracks, they continued deeper into the frontier.

AOR 542‑5‑83

The group reached a large sinkhole with an abandoned fishing hole at its base. Remembering a bounty for clearing out whatever creature had taken residence there, they attempted to lure it out. After several failed attempts, bait finally drew a massive Shell‑Snapper to the surface. Unsure they could defeat it, the party chose to continue north and return later with a plan.

That night, ghostly Echoes appeared when the campfire burned low. Attempts to interact with them failed — except for the chilling discovery that anything touching an Echo became coated in frost.

AOR 542‑5‑84 to 85

The party traveled further north into a forest scarred by craters and destroyed trees. With food supplies dwindling and no signs of bandits or Dryn, they turned back south and camped again near the fishing hole.

AOR 542‑5‑86 to 87

Nearly out of food, the group spent the next three days hunting and foraging. Their activity drew the attention of a formidable Bird‑Bear.

During the fight, Jonesie used Magic to try to scare the creature — but this instead attracted the nearby Echoes. Realizing the Echoes were drawn to Magic, the party switched to mundane tactics, ultimately driving the Bird‑Bear off by hurling a flaming bottle of alcohol.

The creature fled into the forest, shrieking in pain.

AOR 542‑5‑88

Following the trail of scorched underbrush, the party found the Bird‑Bear dead. Much of the meat had been ruined by fire, but they salvaged what they could and planned to use the rest to poison the Shell‑Snapper back at the fishing hole.
